Casa Marianella has been selected to receive a $50,000 growth grant to continue to their promotion of self-sufficiency among Austin’s displaced immigrant community. In direct response to COVID-19, Casa Marianella will implement Immigrant Stability, a program designed to improve infrastructure and direct services as well as increase administrative staff, technology, and aid for the expected need acquisition of over 100 immigrants.
Casa Marianella has allowed for more than 80% of their participants to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency, finding affordable housing and jobs that provide sufficient incomes. The shelters are home-like facilities dedicated solely to immigrants, 65% of which are asylum seekers coming from immigration detention. In direct response to COVID-19, Casa Marianella will implement Immigrant Stability which is designed to improve infrastructure and direct services, increasing administrative staff, technology, and aid to continue to reach those in need.
