Glimmer Austin has granted Foster Village a $50,000 growth grant to enhance the reunification experience in families that have had their children put into foster care. With this funding, Foster village hopes to support the birthparents and foster parents of at least 60 children in the next year. Their holistic approach has created a community beyond the system, which has provided stability and connection, and has been replicated by communities around the nation. Foster Village aims to equip, connect, and advocate for foster children through therapeutic support, providing group meet ups, holding workshops for parents as well as children, and promoting community awareness and engagement.
