Hungry? Here’s an easy to way to grab a meal and give back.
Austin-based Hat Creek Burger Co. and local nonprofit Foster Village are teaming up to provide meals to underserved children and families involved in the child welfare system across the state who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Starting today, Hat Creek, which has locations across Central Texas as well as in Dallas and Houston, will be offering Hamburger Casseroles made with ground beef, tomato sauce, whole peeled tomatoes, egg noodles, sour cream, cream cheese, green onion and topped with cheddar cheese. The casseroles are $18, and customers also have the option to buy one for $9 that will be donated to a family in need. Hat Creek will distribute vouchers for the $9 donated casseroles to Foster Village, who will identify families that should receive them. Casseroles can be ordered in the drive-thru or ahead over the phone.
