AUSTIN, Texas — Capital Metro will begin to provide transportation to those experiencing homelessness Wednesday at noon, as requested by the state.
The services will bus people to the more than five acre state-owned land Governor Greg Abbott has set up as a temporary designated camp site near Highway 183 and Montopolis Drive.
The Westgate Transit Center Cap Metro Park and Ride will serve as the first pick-up location.
Thursday, CapMetro reported services will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Lamar and Manchaca Road, and on Interstate 35 at Holly Street and 15th Street.
