Strategic Partners are integral to Glimmer Austin’s mission, representing a select group of larger grant recipients with whom we maintain multiple, close working relationships. These partnerships go beyond financial support; they involve deep collaboration and continuous engagement with their leadership teams.

 

 

Homelessness

Community First! Village is a master planned neighborhood that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women who are coming out of chronic homelessness. A development of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, this transformative residential program exists to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.

 

TOOF  offers emergency shelter, extremely low-barrier work opportunities, and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness in Austin, TX. The Other Ones Foundation represents a community where no one lives on the margins, and all people are inherently valued.

 

Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center is the largest provider of homeless services in Travis County! We offer pathways to housing for people experiencing homelessness through low-barrier access to wraparound services by providing innovative, trauma-informed, and person-centered programming that engages our communities and leads system-wide transformation.

 

LifeWorks is a fearless advocate for youth and young adults pursuing a life they love and a stable future for themselves and their families. LifeWorks provides services for youth and their families seeking housing, counseling, education, and workforce programs.

 

A home is the foundation we all need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives and build thriving communities. We believe everyone deserves the safety and stability that a home offers. As the backbone organization for Austin/Travis County’s Homelessness Response System, ECHO is committed to ensuring housing is a human right for everyone who lives in our community.

 

Hunger

Keep Austin Fed is a champion for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. They serve our community through the redistribution of wholesome, nutritious food. 1 in 7 people in Austin do not know where their next meal is coming from. 1 in 3 of them are children.

 

Meals on Wheels Central Texas seeks to enrich the lives of the homebound and other people in need through services that promote dignity and independent living.  The mission of Meals on Wheels Central Texas is to deliver care that empowers our neighbors by promoting dignity and independence.

 

Children

The Austin Angels mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.  Austin Angels is building communities of people all across central Texas that are changing the way children, youth, and families experience foster care.

 

Jeremiah Program serves single moms and their children experiencing poverty in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. JP believes that no mother should have to choose between investing in herself and her children.

 

Saint Louise House is dedicated to the success of women and their children moving from homelessness to healthy independent lives. They strive to empower women and their children to overcome homelessness for generations to come.

 

Addiction Recovery

The Phoenix, is a movement that builds on the power of community and belonging to change how society approaches addiction and recovery. Through hundreds of weekly sober events and activities, they are creating safe spaces for all individuals to connect, build friendships, find support, and have fun.
